Well the next thing involves our dog Coco. I’ve been talking about it since we got her and we finally did it. We introduced her to the ocean and I went swimming with her.
The hardest part of this exercise was finding a dog friendly beach where we currently are. Most of the beaches are not for dogs as they are turtle breeding beaches.
We found a rock pool where another dog was swimming and once they left we took her in. The water was very warm and there were fish swimming all around us. Coco was not impressed with the salt water. She likes to drink while swimming.
We really wanted to see how she went with waves. After much searching we found a beach 20 minutes away. I think it’s safe to say she is not going to be a surf dog. She did run into the waves but once realised it was the same yucky tasting water she wasn’t interested. It was fun though.
