#14 – 50 things for 50 years

I just love the painted silo’s, water towers and shop walls.

I’ve heard about this amazing one at Barraba so while we were in Tamworth, we took the 45 minute drive out of town for a look.

It was painted by Fintan Magee and depicts a local water diviner searching for ground water using a y-shaped rod. A Water Diviner studies the landscape of a farm and walks over areas where they suspect water may be located. Water Diviners are still used throughout Australia as a way of finding groundwater. The artwork was completed in 24 days of the 19 April 2019.

It was worth the drive!!
